Fellowship House is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Billing Department as a Behavioral Health Billing Assistant. This role combines billing, collections, and authorization management in a behavioral health setting.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clinicians, administrative staff, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
- Assist in audits and ensure accurate documentation for all billing-related processes.
- Handle billing inquiries and provide detailed explanations to patients, providers, and payers.
- Track outstanding claims and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Ensure compliance with billing codes, modifiers, and payer requirements.
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to insurance providers and third-party payers.
Requirements:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with credentialing, electronic health records, coding, prior authorizations, and funding sources such as Medicaid and Medicare in a behavioral health setting.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in Behavioral Health Billing is a plus!
