Overview
We are seeking an attentive laundry attendant to provide laundry services for our assisted living residents. The laundry attendant will be responsible for cleaning, pressing, and folding clothes and delivering cleaned laundry to the appropriate residents. To be successful as a laundry attendant, candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. This is an evening shift.

This position is responsible for laundering the assisted living residents’ personal clothing and linens ensuring the items are clean, orderly, and properly folded and returned to the resident(s) in accordance with established procedures of Fellowship Square Tucson.
Responsibilities
- Launder and deliver personal laundry in a timely manner.
- Ensure adequate laundry and cleaning supplies are on hand to perform assigned tasks.
- Perform cleaning projects as scheduled.
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned work areas to identify and correct problem areas, to ensure cleanliness and maintain sanitary conditions at all times.
- Make oral reports/recommendations to the Department Supervisor concerning the operation of the laundry service.
- Recommend to the Department Supervisor the equipment and supply needs of the department.
- Ensure that established procedures on cross contamination, infectious material, etc., are followed and maintained in the laundry area.
- Performs other related duties and activities in the assisted living department as needed and as directed by the Assisted Living Manager.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
Qualifications
- Prior experience performing professional laundry services.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds unaided.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Personable disposition and customer service skills.
- Available to work evening shifts. Some weekends if needed.
