What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Outdoor Preschool Teacher position at Fern & Feather Forest School?
We’re looking for an energetic, responsible substitute teachers who love working with children ages 3–6 and feels at home outdoors. This role is fully outside, in all kinds of weather, and focuses on creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn and play.
Substitute teachers assist primary staff in guiding daily routines, support positive social interactions, and engaging kids in outdoor exploration and play. You’ll also help children with clothing, gear, and toileting as needed, and work closely with a small, supportive staff team. If you love kids, nature, and being outside every day, we’d love to hear from you.
Schedule: Days are variable based on program needs. Hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–1:30pm

Required Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to pass a background check
- First Aid and CPR certification (Adult/Child/Infant), or willingness to obtain
