During school breaks, Program Instructors lead camp sessions in conjunction with other Education staff. Program Instructors report to the School Programs Manager.

Major Functions
- Deliver school programs to preK-12 students visiting the Museum on field trips.
- Deliver classroom-format programs to preK-12 students as part of school outreach, including but not limited to afterschool programs, family science nights and more.
- Lead school break camp programming alongside full-time Education staff.
- Assist with preparations for educational programs as needed.
- Assist the Education Department with other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma required; possession or pursuit of degree in science, education, or related content area preferred
- Weekday morning availability required; weekday afternoon and evening availability preferred
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Experience teaching educational programs or working with children preferred but not required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service role required
- First Aid, CPR/AED certification preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable learning to handle reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates
- Must enjoy working with students ages 4 - 17
- Must be comfortable speaking in front of large and small audiences
- Ability to learn and present new information quickly
- Flexibility and a willingness to help wherever needed
- Enthusiasm for science and natural history subject matter
