Adjunct Instructor 1 - Construction Management - Ferris State University. The College of Engineering Technology seeks adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses in Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, and/or Construction Management BS. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in construction, surveying, construction finance, construction law, and virtual design and construction will be considered. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended or online; in Big Rapids, Grand Rapids, or other locations to be determined. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2023 at the earliest, and January 2024 at the latest. 1. Master's degree or higher, in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or master's degree or higher, in a field related to course content plus eight (8) years full-time US commercial or industry construction experience OR 2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field and an MBA plus eight years (8) full-time US commercial or industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility OR 3. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field and ten (10) years full-time US commercial or industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
