What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift - Machine Operator position at Fibro Corporation?
Fibro Corp manufactures and develops molded-fiber packaging and fiber-molding machinery. All products are made right here in the USA, using local labor and materials. The Molding Machine Operator is responsible for the day-to-day production of products; including, but not limited to, sorting, stacking, quality control, machine adjustments, minor maintenance, and production reporting.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform repetitive, simple short-cycle production tasks / routines
• Perform production tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify maintenance of any malfunctions
• Make adjustments to machinery as needed
• Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines as needed
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Meet production target and quality standards consistently
• Lift raw materials and finished products manually
• Pack and store materials or final products
• Assist overall production by perform duties of lesser skill; such as, cleaning work areas and equipment
• Clean machinery and work area throughout shift
• Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures
• Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools/equipment between storage and work areas; use of pallet jack
• Other tasks as assigned
Education/Knowledge/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent Education
• Minimum of 6 months machine operation experience required
• Minimum of 6 months production experience required
Knowledge/Other:
• Basic math skills required
• Basic computer skills preferred
