Manufacturing Team Leader

FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Welding Team Leader to coordinate the production, welding, and activities under the direction of the Supervisor. This position involves coordinating the team members who operate a welding machine by placing automotive parts into a machine to be welded automatically. No welding experience is necessary.

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee activities of production employees under the direction of the Supervisor
• Plan and maintain work schedules, assignments, and production sequences
• Direct and assign tasks and duties under the direction of the Supervisor
• Train and develop team members to perform job duties according to company procedures and policies for safety and accuracy
• Interpret work orders, specifications, and company policies and procedures for employees
• Assist with and perform work activities as necessary to maintain work flow
• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with evaluating of employees performance with Supervisors
• Address reports from employees, and report them to Supervisors and Managers
• Follow standard work instructions
• Perform other duties assigned

Other Job Functions

• Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures
• Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
• Perform 5-S activities

• 3 or more years of Team Leader experience
• Must be able to speak and read basic English to comply with position, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirements
• Must be willing to cross-train
• Must be able to work company’s required overtime
• Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy

Pay Range $18/hour - $24/hour, based on qualifications and experience

Additional Compensation We operate two shifts and 2nd Shift employees are given a $1/hour shift differential
