Job Responsibilities
- Proactively collaborating with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or execution
- Identify, communicate, and proactively address project risks as well those of our supporting teams (as applicable)
- Be an authority in the overall team objectives and improvement initiatives
- Steer gathering of team requirements on quality process improvements
- Facilitate alignment to automation standards and support overall DevOps Integration
- Partner with development teams and promote understanding of test data and its role in the project lifecycle
- Support multiple test data pipelines
- Support Continuous Integrated (CI) testing using industry standard tools and techniques
- Build and support test data automation tools
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
- 6 years of Software Development or proven experience desired
- 6 years of Software Quality Assurance or proven experience desired Skills and Knowledge
- Strong API experience is required
- Firm understanding of Event Streaming platforms like Kafka and Azure Service Bus are required
- Strong experience with programming languages such as Java and scripting language like SQL are required
- Proficient Understanding of Behavior Driven Development and testing using BDD Frameworks such as Cucumber is required
- Proven experience with Python is preferred
- Good understanding of cloud technologies AWS or Azure is preferred
- Experience with trading or financial applications are preferred with a practical understanding of retirement vehicles (such as 401(k) plans) highly preferred
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities in response to changing business needs
- Proficient in Agile software development
- Understanding of Dev Ops principles and strategies as well as how to apply them to multiple SDLC models is preferred
- Proper SDLC standards including code review and documentation preferred
- Automation Tools: API Tools RestAssured, Maven, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium,
- IDE's: IntelliJ, SQL-Developer
- Source Control: GitHub, Stash (Bitbucket), Sourcetree
- Other Tools: Insomnia or Postman
- Languages: Java, SQL, Python
- Database Dialects: Oracle, POSTGRES, SQL-SERVER and DynamoDB
