IA or Compact RN License required at the time of submission in hand - proof of residence required for compact RN License locals at 10% rate reduction

A General Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Nurse plays a critical role in the healthcare team, typically working in hospitals or medical centers. Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

o Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.

o Assist patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, and dressing.

High-level knowledge of cardiac medicine

Proficiency at operating EKG equipment and interpreting EKGs

Knowledge of health information software used to maintain patient records

Multitasking ability to monitor and care for multiple patients at once

Crisis management skills to respond to emergencies calmly and professionally
