What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Field House Kitchen & Bar?
Join the opening front-of-house team at Field House, a modern American restaurant with 190 seats, a bar, and a seasonal patio. As the first face guests see, hosts at Field House are responsible for warm greetings, efficient seating, and managing the dining room flow. This is a fast-paced, guest-facing role ideal for someone organized and friendly.
GRAND OPENING IN AUGUST
Duties
- Greet guests and manage the waitlist using reservation tools
- Communicate with servers and managers to ensure smooth table turns
- Answer phone calls and assist with to-go orders when needed
- Assist in table touches and guest check-ins
- Maintain a clean host stand and front lobby
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure
- Knowledge of food service operations is beneficial but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
