We are looking for a Inside Sales Representative located in Buffalo, NY, who would be responsible for screening of new business opportunities, communications and account management with small and medium-sized accounts, order entry, and accelerating Multisorb’s customer success rate for existing and prospective Diagnostic customers within the Healthcare Business Unit. The Inside Sales Representative will possess excellent communication skills to demonstrate Multisorb’s capabilities and share customer requests with internal team members and to effectively manage all facets of the business relationship from opportunity assessment to closure of the customer opportunity within the Diagnostic market.
You’ll be responsible for technical reviews of new opportunities and assessment of the technical feasibility, fit, and value for Multisorb. The Inside Sales Representative will assist in developing action plans that will address the client requests. The ideal candidate will have expertise in customer service, strong relationship-building skills, as well as exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills. This person must also be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
About the Role:
- Investigate and Understand Customer needs through coordinated sales efforts with manufacturing, engineering and research & development.
- Interface with Technical Sales Representatives to coordinate and maximize account contact and pass significant inquiries to the sales reps for direct contact.
- Assist with technical qualification, technology evaluation, project priorities and support the project justification and selection of opportunities.
- Develop new accounts by identifying potential customers and providing an assessment focusing on understanding the customer needs and potential opportunity. Track and report on sales leads generated through marketing programs.
- Prepare price estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, marketing, finance and other functions.
- Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating product benefits which creates value for the customer.
- Facilitate technical communication and collaboration with Customers during preliminary assessment of opportunities.
- Collaborate with Product Development Engineers to coordinate samples, prototypes and trial production runs.
- Increase the speed and thoroughness of the opportunity qualification process and deliverables to the customer.
- Develop close contact with the Customer for better dialogue and success.
- Give preliminary advice and alternative suggestions to align customer specifications with Multisorb capabilities.
- Enter customer orders, work with Operations to coordinate lead-time and delivery, and provide acknowledgements to the Customer.
- Maintain telephone contact with existing accounts with the goal of maintaining and growing account share.
- Receive inquiries from customers and prospects, and provide product application analysis and support.
- Assist in providing timely and accurate forecast information, as well as preparation and distribution of sales reports covering business generated through the inside sales function.
- Monitor competitive activity to ensure account share at assigned accounts.

Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with focus on Business.
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working for a manufacturing company (preferably diagnostics, medical devices, healthcare markets, etc) promoting products in a Supplier-OEM relationship.
- Significant experience with cross-functional interaction with product development, sales, marketing, and manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, in a high paced environment.
- Self-directed, deadline driven, and forward thinking with technical depth and strength.
- Ability to manage projects and work through challenges to ensure project completion.
- Fanatical focus on internal and external customers
- Proven track record of success in customer-facing roles, specifically communication and relationship development.
- Highly responsive to customer needs and perceptive to issues within opportunity accounts.
- Must be a logical thinker, organized with outstanding time-management skills.
- Strong initiative with the ability to prioritize, set personal goals and work autonomously.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills with motivation and drive to succeed.
- Excellent verbal, analytical and written skills.

- Adept at using technology for effective management of responsibility: Internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com, etc.
- Travel: Up to 10% including flying to attend customer meetings and corporate meetings.
