Flow Dry Technology is a leading manufacturer of automotive desiccant components, which are critical to vehicle functionality and safety. We maintain facilities in the U.S., Hungary and China. We historically have focused on desiccant components for HVAC systems, winning the trust of discerning Tier 1’s. Flow Dry seeks a Global Human Resources Manager. Reporting directly to the President, they will serve as a business partner to each of the leaders on our executive leadership team, ensuring we deliver a best-in-class employee experience. Additionally, they will directly manage day-to-day HR processes at our largest plant in Brookeville, Ohio where they will be based.

 

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business partner to the President and Executive Leadership Team, coordinating critical HR initiatives for our employee base.
  • Support our Hungarian and Chinese employees by maintaining strong dotted line relationships with local plant leaders, serving as a thought partner in the creation of employee programming and plant culture.
  • Support our U.S. employees by directly managing all aspects of H.R. in our Brookville, OH facility.

Key HR Tasks

  • Regularly engage with employees on the production floor to answer their questions and promote our culture.
  • Serve as the liaison between management and employees by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of work-related issues.
  • Provide effective recommendations to line and department staff relating to employee concerns, problems and disciplinary action to comply with company policies.
  • Become an expert of, interpret, and apply company policies and procedures, benefits, and other HR programs.
  • Administer and maintain records for worker compensation reports, unemployment cases, and disability cases.
  • Manage hiring processes.
  • Manage employee payroll and welfare activities including benefits. Assist in resolving employee benefit issues.
  • Maintain all recordkeeping for governmental, regulatory, and company requirements, including OSHA, EEOC
  • Design and/or deliver training related to employee development and general employee communications.
  • Initiate and support culture and employee engagement programs.
  • Create and implement process improvements to reduce administrative waste.
  • Ensure necessary tools and training in place to drive supervisory self-sufficiency.
  • Actively engage in business problem solving and financial performance; use data and metrics to drive decisions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and lead confidential projects as asked by leadership.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Human Resources or related area (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 3  years of experience as an HR generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment/labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including 1-2 trips annually to both Hungary and China.
