What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Finance?
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the oversight of the accounting functions of the Company to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of adequate system of accounting records, and comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, skills and experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, MSA and/or CPA preferred.
* A thorough understanding of all accounting functional areas.
* Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing programs.
* Minimum of ten years professional level accounting experience, preferably in the medical service field.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, high ethical standards.
* Minimum of ten years supervisory experience in the accounting or finance field
* Must be detail oriented and able to work well under stress to meet deadline
