Financial Analyst
GENERAL INFORMATION

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting in budget and general ledger maintenance. Position will review and ensure proper financial documentation is provided and internally audit financial transactions. Provides financial grant management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in maintaining the general ledger for all funds, including entities in which we serve as fiscal agent.
Responsible for financial oversight of grants and reimbursement requests submitted in a timely manner.
Prepares monthly bank reconciliations.
Maintains Fixed Assets/Disposition of Equipment & Personal Property.
Responsible for processing and recording bank transactions, including daily cash deposits and EDI receipts.
Reviews and approves purchasing card financial transactions and their documentations.
Oversees school division's accounts receivable and billing, including non-resident tuition.
Responsible for unclaimed property submitted to the state.
Files quarterly Medicaid reimbursements and the annual cost report.
Process CIP payment requests.
Serves as backup to the Accounts Payable clerk.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing general ledger account information.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
Answers financial procedure questions by researching and interpreting fiscal policy and regulations.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Assist the Chief Financial Officer with budget analysis and audit preparation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holds an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. Has five or more years of working experience in general ledger accounting.
Prior grant experience preferred.
Prior OMEGA experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Team leadership skills
Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft products
Alio experience is a plus
