Job Description:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repair of building systems including electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), painting, and specific equipment associated with our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

· Hires and trains maintenance department staff.

· Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.

· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

· Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

· Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.

· Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.

· Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.

· Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.

· Takes lead to repair and/or assists in repair of more complex technical issues.

· Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

· Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.

· Generate purchase requisitions as needed.

· Review and approve all facilities and repair and maintenance invoices and submit them to AP.

· Negotiate and maintain up to date equipment and other service contracts.

· Maintain up to date Facilities’ permits and licenses.

· Solve technical programming issues on controllers in general.

· Maintain inventory of crucial equipment parts/materials and components

· Develop and implement ideas to improve equipment performance and efficiency.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Extensive knowledge of building and equipment systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

· Knowledge of controllers is a strong positive.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.

· Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.

· Excellent management and supervisory skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
