Objectives of This Role:
The media team is responsible for developing comprehensive omnichannel media campaigns to meet client goals. This includes media channel strategy, tactical recommendations, including request for proposal development, and projection analyses to determine spend by channel and by tactic. The media team gathers target audience insights from research tools and media partner insights, including consumption habits, channel preference, etc, and collaborates with account, strategy, and creative teams to ensure that media strategies are properly integrated within larger marketing programs and creative executions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage internal status sheet and inner-capability deadlines and keep internal team appraised of status of jobs by issuing timely and accurate updates
- Assist in search tasks (as directed by managers), such as:
- Keyword research, campaign structure, ad copywriting, bulk sheet development, account QA
- Provide ongoing evaluation of campaign activity, including spend pacing and performance, and troubleshoot platform errors
- Responsible for financial campaign management, such as actualizations, invoice reconciliation, and platform updates, and manage financial documentation, such a pacing sheets, media buy authorizations, media flowcharts, and invoice tracker
- Assist with pulling platform data and preparing reports for clients and begin to provide input with campaign analyses
- Attend meetings (internal status, client status, client presentations, vendor presentations) and take diligent notes to be disseminated to internal teams
- Begin to understand clients’ paid search media campaign goals and support implementation of tactical execution(s) that ladder up to goals
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to commute to Cedar Knolls, NJ for team meetings and client gatherings
Job Requirements:
- Up to 1 year of experience in paid search within an advertising agency environment or related internship experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Has understanding and basic experience in search (AdWords, Bing, SA360)
- Microsoft Office experience, especially Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, familiarity with PowerPoint, etc)
- The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is able to step out of their comfort zone
- Team player willing to build relationships across internal counterparts (such as digital strategy, account, project management, etc), as well as with outside vendors
