Summary:
The client is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in CNC programming and machining, with hands-on experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines. This position requires proficiency in relevant programming languages and software, along with a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and precision measurement methods.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for lathes and milling machines using Fanuc, SolidWorks, and CAM programming software.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to create precise machining instructions.
- Utilize GD&T (geometric Dimensional and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in production.
- Conduct setup and operation of CNC equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to unsure optimal performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control checks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and refine processes as necessary.
Experience:
- Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software including FeatureCam, Mastercam, SolidWorks, and related tools.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Experience in utilizing precision measuring instruments for quality assurance is essential.
