Job Summary
Finn-Kool is seeking a skilled Powder Coat Painter to join our team. As a key member of our coating department, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to various parts and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare parts for coating by cleaning and masking surfaces
- Operate coating equipment, including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems
- Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
- Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspections or viscometers
- Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
- Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility
- Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with powder coating and painting techniques
- Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash, and pretreatments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
