Assistant Controller -St. Petersburg, FL
FinTrust Connect, a trusted partner of a well-established financial institution, is in the search of an Assistant Controller in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. We're seeking a highly motivated Assistant Controller to join a dynamic and growing organization that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact by assisting in all facets of tax, compliance, and accounting operations, including financial reporting, internal controls, and policy development.

Requirements:
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years of public accounting or Assistant Controller experience.
- CPA designation.
- Big 4 experience and familiarity with Lawson and/or Blackline Accounting Software preferred.
Description:
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing work papers, supporting documentation, and adjusting entries.
- Perform detailed financial analysis and explain variances from budgets or unexpected amounts.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, Board packages, and management reports.
- Contribute to corporate consolidations and the development of accounting policies.
- Prepare and manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze client profitability and adjust pricing as necessary.
- Oversee external audit processes and support Tax and Compliance teams.
