UX Developer

Position Summary: The UX Developer (aka Front-End Developer) is primarily responsible for building a best-in-class e-commerce website focusing on HTML/CSS, JavaScript, design and overall user experience for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and fun environment.   Essential Functions: Develop and implement new user-facing features Steer requirements and oversee development of all aspects of UX for the site, including ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Create front-end user interfaces (UI) from wireframes & specifications Employ best practices for optimal performance Partner with Backend Development, QA and Analytics to support e-commerce projects Create designs and styles for front-end user experience   Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and, Experience 1 years of front-end development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (portfolio/code examples submittal required) Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, training and, experience Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript libraries, including jQuery Experience optimizing code for SEO and Google’s Core Web Vitals Proven experience in translating design requirements for optimal UI Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience a plus Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Organized, detailed and able to meet tight deadlines Flexible, creative and team-oriented with strong problem solving skills   Core Competencies: Creativity, Drive, Functional/Technical Expertise, High Standards, Initiative, Learning Agility, Results Orientation   Physical Demands: Ability to remain in a stationary position 90% of work time with extensive computer use.  Occasionally move about inside the department and within the main building of the company, with or without reasonable accommodation.   Work Environment: This position is onsite in a normal office environment, temperature controlled   Fire Mountain Gems and Beads is a drug-free workplace and is an Equal Opportunity/Access/Affirmative Action/Pro Disabled & Veteran Employer. Salary : $59,300 - $75,100
