We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Location: Niles, MI 49120

Contract: 13-week contract

Shift: 1400-0200/1900-0700, Night, 36hrs

Start: 08/25/2025

Requirement

• Must have 2 year of RN ER experience
• RN MI license
• AHS BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS & ENPC certification

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients presenting with various medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Perform triage duties to prioritize patient care based on the severity of their conditions.
• Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques as necessary to assist in diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with ICD-9 coding standards.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options, procedures, and post-care instructions.

Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
• Knowledgeable about HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection.
• Experience with specimen collection processing techniques.
• Familiarity with medical office operations within an emergency care setting.
• Ability to perform physical examinations effectively.
• Experience in toddler care is a plus for pediatric emergency cases.
• Strong skills in triage to assess patient needs quickly and accurately.
• Understanding of medical imaging processes relevant to emergency care settings.
• Previous experience working in nursing homes is beneficial for geriatric patient interactions.
