Description
Jump start a career in the field of banking. Internships at First Bank Chicago offer a hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of banking. This internship includes a 10 - 12 week experience that highlights banking processes and how they interrelate. As an Intern, you will work alongside our team of experienced bankers and other team members who can offer insights to help you better understand the banking industry. First Bank Chicago is a full-service community bank offering Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Business Banking, Lease Finance and Treasury Management & Private Client services with four locations.
Essential Duties
Interns will:
- Assist their assigned department with projects
- Work closely with different team members to learn more about banking and how their department functions as part of the Bank
- Participate in volunteer projects within the community
- Attend community meetings (local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.) with First Bank Chicago Officers
Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Network and meet with Senior Management, Officers and staff within all departments
- Participate in training opportunities offered by First Bank Chicago
Nonessential Duties

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical skills along with accuracy
- Strong level of accuracy and detail oriented

- Ability to be flexible and to multi-task on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current and remains up-to-date in relevant technology and systems
Training & Experience
- Applicants must be seeking a degree at an accredited college/university with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, IT or other fields related to the position
- Completed two full academic years toward the degree prior to starting the internship is preferred
