What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at FIRST BANK MCCOMB MISSISSIPPI?

         

                                                         First Bank Teller

I. Here are several job duties that all employees are expected to do:

A) Maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning all customer information - outside the bank

as well as internally.

B) Abide by the bank's Code of Ethics and all regulatory policies and procedures.

C) Attend and complete all required training.

D) Deliver superior customer service at all times.

E) Become familiar with all of the bank's products consistent with your level of customer contact.

 

II. Primary Job Objective:           Paying and receiving of checking and savings account customer

transactions, including cashing and processing of checks and withdrawals; processing deposits.

Issuing money orders, official checks, redemption of savings bonds, and other financial products.

Maintains the safety and security of the cash, checks, withdrawal slips, and other transaction records

records. Balances cash drawer on a daily basis.

   

III. Major Job Duties (list in order of importance)

Waiting on customers for deposits and withdrawals

Selling financial products

Balancing cash

Other duties as called upon

 

IV. Secondary Job Duties (that are not part of the regular routine):

Backup vault balancing as called upon

Backup new accounts desk during vacations

Backup to ATM balancing as called upon

Collecting bad checks and charged off checks

  

V. General Information

 

Preferred Education Minimum:

High School Diploma, equivalent GED or work experience

Specific Skills:

Key Board, 10 key adding machine, handling cash

Exempt/Non-Exempt:

Non-Exempt

Supervisor you report to:

Head Teller

Employees you supervise:

None

Normal work schedule:

Monday-Thursday 8:00* to 5:00; Fridays 8:00* to 5:45

* Drive thru Tellers have to begin at 7:50 in order to be ready to open at 8:00

 

VI. Comments:          We work as a team to satisfy the needs of our customers.

You are each responsible for greeting customers and helping them or promptly referring them to

other employees for services which you do not provide.

 


 

VII. I understand that the above duties and how I perform them are the requirements on which my

performance will be judged. It is understood that these duties may be revised from time to time

at the discretion of the Bank's management.
