What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician I position at First Citizens Community Bank?
- Provide IT technical support to company employees, both remotely and in-person by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and remediating technical issues. Technical support includes monitoring of IT Helpdesk and responding to IT issues in a timely manner. Share in weekend on-call rotation and extended hours support (if applicable).
- Provide hardware/software support by installing, replacing, repairing, decommissioning, and configuring computer hardware, software, system peripherals, network connectivity, printers, scanners, phones, mobile devices, etc. If appropriate, coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware or software issues. Assist with hardware/software procurement.
- Support end-users by assisting and managing user life cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, user account management (creations/changes/deletions), new PC setups, and assistance with end-user orientation. Assist with the management of audit and third-party accounts.
- Perform work on assigned special and recurring projects (e.g., quarterly and annual processes) to ensure the completion of projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Create, update, and maintain manuals and checklists by gathering and organizing information, then ensuring the accuracy and availability of information for users.
- Communicate and constructively interact with co-workers.
HOURS will average approximately 40 per week. This position is budgeted for 2,080 hours per year.
- Six months or more of job-related experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to use and analyze problems with a personal computer.
- Ability to use and analyze problems with software (e.g., MS Office, bank-related applications, etc.)
- Ability to use and analyze problems with hardware (e.g., computers, printers, check scanners, document scanners, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of IT Security.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent educational experience. (preferred)
- Certifications related to Information Technology. (preferred)
