Essential Duties

Assist in patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social evaluations under the supervision of the RN.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans by collaborating with RNs and other healthcare professionals.

Administer medications and perform clinical procedures as directed by the Health Care Practitioner (HCP), including IV therapy (when certified) and diagnostic tests.

Count controlled substances, syringes, needles, and sharps at the beginning of each shift and sign count logs.

Intervene using proper safety techniques and standard precautions in all clinical settings.

Respond to health emergencies and codes within standard guidelines.

Communicate effectively with other healthcare staff, including physicians, HSAs, and ancillary departments, ensuring information is relayed through proper channels.

Respect patient dignity and confidentiality in all patient interactions.

Attend mandatory staff meetings, training, and post orders as applicable per site contract.
