Position Summary*
Increases market shares by interviewing applicants and examining, evaluating and authorizing approval of applications for real estate, consumer, signature, and small business loans. Establishes and helps to attain internal performance objectives for the branch office business volume, deposits, loan portfolios and quality of audit reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: *
- Responsible for overall branch office operations and profitability, but delegates all operational and managerial duties to the Senior Branch Supervisor or Branch Supervisor
- Contacts customers, businesses, community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business; visits real estate brokers, sales agents and local builders to promote mortgage services
- Establishes and maintains relationships with businesses and commercial developers; analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for loans
- Verifies accuracy of loan application by interviewing applicants and requesting specific information or documentation to resolve any questions regarding application information
- Analyzes applicant financial status to determine if established standards for further consideration are met; confers with underwriter to resolve mortgage application issues
- Analyzes financial statements, tax returns and financial information from small business applicants to determine if the loan request and/or the applicant meets internal guidelines
- Approves or denies various types of loans and/or confers with Branch Administrator or loan committee, if request is outside lending authority
- Recommends residential mortgage loans be approved or denied; submits loans to underwriting for final approval or denial; informs applicant of loan acceptance or denial. If approved, orders appraisal and works with loan processors and loan closers to ensure federal and bank guidelines are met
- Cross-sells and refers other bank products and services, including insurance and investment services, and increases customer relationships
- Promotes and enhances the corporate culture and fosters the development and implementation of the organizational vision

Minimum Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in business, finance or related field; and a minimum of two (2) years related experience (preferably in a financial institution or consumer loan department) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must maintain an NMLS and/or NMLSR unique identifier assigned by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry.
- Must have a proven track record as a financial professional with progressive management experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Must have extensive knowledge of lending services, cross-selling and related areas
- An excellent understanding of financial products and services
