About the Position:
As a Financial Analyst you will provide analytical and reporting support for the bank’s various lines of business. Additionally, you will have a key role in gathering information to assist in the preparation of the company-wide rolling forecast and annual budget.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as a liaison between Finance and business partners
- Assist in the delivery of financial analytics in support of assigned lines of business
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial management reporting including analysis of actual results vs. prior years, vs. forecast and vs. budget to business partners
- Prepare detailed analyses of financial statements, such as trend reporting, variance analysis and ad-hoc requests from management
- Support month-end close procedures by communicating with accounting and business partners to ensure accuracy of management reporting and month-end close
- Play a prominent role in the development of the company-wide annual budgeting process
- Compile and update short term and long range forecasts to reflect changes in business strategies and business intelligence in the competitive environment
- Create financial reports and dashboards utilizing the company’s financial management software
- Contribute new ideas to improve efficiency and quality of financial reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or economics
- One to three years of financial analysis or accounting work experience preferred but will also consider recent college graduates
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight timeframes, ability to organize and prioritize tasks and complete them in a time efficient manner
- Strong communication, organization, presentation, analytical and leadership skills
- Attention to detail, ability to learn new concepts or tasks quickly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, with an emphasis on Excel
- Function comfortably in a highly dynamic, ever-changing environment
- Understanding of accounting principles including general application
- Previous experience with Axiom software a plus
Working Conditions/Demands:
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
