About the Role:
As an Engine Design Engineer at LiquidPiston, you'll work on cutting-edge engine systems from concept through to production. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on—ideal for engineers passionate about innovation and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and optimizing engine subsystems and components
- Creating CAD models and engineering drawings (SolidWorks)
- Performing FEA, thermal, and vibration analysis
- Supporting validation, prototyping, and design-for-manufacturing efforts
- Interfacing with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
Ideal Candidate:
- B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 3 years of experience in engine design or complex mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, combustion, and mechanical integration
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, FEA tools, and engine modeling software (GT-Power, AVL)
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing
