What will you do on a typical day? Exam room history taking. Client education. Triage emergencies. Venipuncture. Catheter placement. In house Idexx bloodwork and digital radiology. Medical treatments including IV and IM injections. Monitor sedation and anesthesia. Hospitalize patient care.
We follow “low stress” handling protocols to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We value and trust our technical team and as such we expect them to work both independently and as a team to ensure excellent patient care.
First State Urgent Vet Newark is currently accepting applications for part-time and full-time Veterinary Assistants and Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Our Veterinary Technicians and Assistants must be able to work 9-10 hour shifts and rotating weekends as our business hours are 10 am to 7 pm , 7 days a week.
A minimum of 1-year of Veterinary Technician or Assistant experience is required. Licensure is preferred but not required as we are hiring for both Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.
