What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office/ Scheduling Administrative Assistant position at First Step Therapy, LLC?
First Step Therapy is seeking an Front Office/ Scheduling Administrative Assistant for our Winter Haven Clinic. The position is Full time Monday- Friday 7:45-5pm.
First Step Therapy provides physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services in the clinic.
Scheduling experience is required.
Bilingual preferred
Candidate must have Outstanding and Professional customer service and communication skills. Accurately enter patient demographics, medical history, and insurance information into medical records system within a timely manner. Answer continuous phone calls in a high call volume setting. Must be able to verify information and work with other departments. Facilitate phone calls from physician offices and patients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Positive attitude and attention to detail is a MUST
- 1 year medical office experience.
- 1 year customer service experience.
- Daily Scheduling, cancellation and rescheduling management
- Evaluations and Re-Evaluation management
- Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- Insurance Verification
- Payment Collection
- General Computer Skills
- Great Organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Translating if needed ( Spanish)
- Opening and Closing routines
- Must be self motivated to fill various job responsibilities and willingness to cross train to other departments.
- Hours 7:45am to 5pm availability
Experience:
- customer service: 1 years (Preferred)
- healthcare: 1 years (Preferred)
- Receptionist: 1 years (Required)
- Bilingual Spanish candidates are welcome and preferred.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
