What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at First Step Therapy, LLC?
First Step Therapy is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for our Leesburg clinic. The position is Monday- Friday.
First Step Therapy provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA to children in the clinic setting. We also service children in the community (homes, schools, daycares).
This a full-time position from Monday- Friday.
Scheduling experience preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Candidate must have Outstanding and Professional customer service, critical thinking skills, computer skills and communication skills. Accurately enter patient demographics, medical history, and insurance information into our EMR system within a timely manner. Schedule ALL disciplines (except ABA) in a timely and proficient manner. Answer continuous phone calls in a high call volume setting. Must be able to verify information and work with other departments. Facilitate phone calls from physician offices and patients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Positive attitude and attention to detail is a MUST
- 1-2 years medical office experience.
- Scheduling, cancellation management
- 2 years customer service experience.
- Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- General mathematical skills
- Great organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be self motivated to fill various job responsibilities and willingness to cross train to other departments.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and Saturdays as needed.
- Hours 8am to 6pm availability
Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
- Healthcare: 1-2 years (Preferred)
- Receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish candidates are welcome
