Job Description
Brief Overview of Position:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide advocacy and support to Sexual Assault victims. This position provides hospital accompaniment, legal advocacy, and referrals to supportive services. The position will provide education, awareness, and prevention information to clients, families of clients, other service providers, and communities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· N/A
Essential Responsibilities:
- Hospital accompaniment
- Advocate for client with first responders
- Advocacy and individualized treatment plan as needed
- Complete intake assessment and maintain client information
- Direct client to appropriate services such as counseling, SA Group
- Facilitate or co-facilitate support groups and educational presentations in the community
- Be familiar with community resources
- Safely operate company vehicle with clean driving record
- Assists with CVC and Texas SAVNS
- Provides information and referral
- Peer support and transportation
Cooperative Responsibilities:
· Answers phones and assists callers and walk-ins
· Completes hotline calls and client intakes as needed
· Keeps accurate records of all client services and donations
· Assists team on event attendance and informational presentation attendance as assigned
· Works cooperatively with all staff to manage workload
· Able to travel to surrounding counties, transport clients, attend events as needed
· Additional duties as assigned
Hours/Status:
· Approximately 40 Hours per week, Non-Exempt, may require evening/weekend
Equipment Used:
General office equipment (computer, copier, fax, etc.), household equipment (vacuum, microwave, etc.), and company vehicle if required by the position above.
Qualifications:
· LPC, LPC-Associate, LMSW preferred or Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience in related field
· Understand domestic violence and sexual assault issues
· Reflect agency values (i.e., empathy, empowerment, etc.) toward clients, staff, and public
· Ability to make good, independent decisions
· Flexibility, personal integrity and ability to work as a team
· Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of employee, client, and agency information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
