Senior UI/UX Designer

The Senior UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices for complex and large-scale products.

Job Duties

• Create use case scenarios, complex user flows/information architecture, wireframes, mock-ups, interactive prototypes UI and visual specifications for web and mobile platforms
• Demonstrate thought leadership and expertise in the areas of interaction design, journey mapping and user flows, information architecture, prototyping and some visual design
• Practice holistic, human-centered design; apply Design Principals/Design Thinking, ideation, storytelling and design rational to inform design decisions
• Translate ideas and concepts into innovative, relevant and compelling user experiences with the focus on ease-of-use, and delight for member facing products and services
• Generate detailed specifications and deliver development-ready assets of final designs
• Deliver user-centric design based on user/product requirements, business goals, technical constraints, and test-and-learn findings for web & mobile platforms
• Partner and build collaborative relationships with Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, Developers and other cross-functional teams
• Manage multiple, complex projects within expected timeframes. Ability to accurately estimate, scope and schedule project work
• Create presentations, present and communicate ideas effectively through storytelling and sketching. Articulate ideation both verbally and in writing
• Communicate design rationale to validate and substantiate design in presentations to stakeholders
• Work as an organized and independent self-directed designer as well as a key contributor 
  on a tight design team
• Apply experience in user-centered design processes within an Agile environment
• Proactively seek out examples and learnings, showcasing the latest design trends, techniques, and technological developments

Essential Skills

• Minimum 7 years of experience as an Interaction Designer (UX/UI) in corporate product design with a focus on mobile
• Expert knowledge and proven track record designing for mobile (native apps and mobile web), desktop and responsive design
• Experience practicing corporate design with a clean, modern aesthetic, validated and showcased through an online portfolio
• Expert software skills using Sketch, Adobe Suites, and/or InVision
• Experience creating style guides, pattern libraries, and other design system solutions
• Ability to create use case scenarios, complex user flows/information architecture, wireframes, mock-ups, UI and visual specifications and interactive prototypes (Lo-Fi and Hi-Fi) for web and mobile platforms
• Familiarity with design validation testing; user research skills a plus
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS with Java or some coding skills a plus
• Ability and passion to understand the user mind-set, natural behaviors, emotions and needs with deep empathy
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design, Multimedia Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction HCI, Design, – or other related fields of study or equivalent experience

Target Compensation in San Jose, CA 95134:  $137,500 - $148k annually annual bonus
