Job description
FirstFleet is a national trucking company with 3000 trucks. We are looking for a Full Time Fleet Manager to oversee operations at our Lenexa, KS facility.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Tracking and Scheduling of Drivers & Freight
- Hiring and retaining of drivers and supervisory staff
- Training
- Monitoring Safety and Compliance
- Direct Interaction with Customer
- Customer Communication
- Email Communication
- Telephone Communication
- Monitoring Hours of Service
- Monitoring Paperwork
- Experience with TMW preferred but not required
- Multiple locations to manage: one bakery and three distribution centers, two in Lenexa and one in Bridgeton, MO
- Ability to travel and stay overnights. Expected travel when needed to the Bridgeton, MO DC for site visits, training, and evaluations
Job Requirements
Experience: Must have 5 years of industry management experience or a bachelor’s degree required and strong knowledge of Transportation industry.
Preferred Job Skills
- Valid CDL-A License is a plus
- Computer Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows)
- TMW system knowledge preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Fluent in DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations
Pay based on verifiable experience
Pay Range $70,000 to $80,000 per year
Pre-employment drug screen required
