Seasonal Water Park Attendant

Job Overview:

The Seasonal Water Park Attendant will be responsible for monitoring and operating the attendant booth and snack bar at the Terramor Water Park. This is a customer service-based position that involves routine interaction with Ladera Ranch residents and their guests. Given that this is a temporary (seasonal) position, requests for time off that exceed seven consecutive calendar days will not be approved. In addition, staff will not be permitted more than 10 requested days off in total.

The Community of Ladera Ranch is located in South Orange County. The community is managed by Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (LARMAC) which consists of over 8,000 homes. The community is spread out across 4,000 acres of landscape, parks, trails, pools, clubhouses, reservable indoor and outdoor spaces, water park, skate park, sports fields, tennis/pickleball courts and more.

Compensation: $18-20/hr

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

General:

• Monitor the use of each facility, ensuring adherence to all posted rules and regulations.
• Be visible and accessible for residents, guests, and facility users who have questions or concerns regarding the use of the facility.
• Conduct daily visual inspection of the facility to ensure that it can be safely used by residents, guests, and permitted users.
• Provide regular reports via Trello, email or hard copy with detailed information on attendance, facility use, or recorded incidents.

Terramor Water Park & Clubhouse Pools (Seasonal – Summer):

• Operates the Water Park attendant booth, controlling access into the water park gates.
• Operates the Water Park snack bar, including the use of a POS system for making sales.
• Operates the check-in process at community clubhouse pools
• Assist with preparing reservable spaces including picnic shelters, cabanas, and gazebos for residents.
• Ensures that each pool user has a valid resident access card or is a guest of a resident.
• Working with the pool attendants, monitors the safe use of the Water Park facility, ensuring that posted rules are followed by all users at all times.
• Ensures that the guest policy is adhered to.
• Immediately reports any safety, maintenance, or other issues to the Aquatics and Recreation Manager.

Education & Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in aquatics and recreation is preferred.
• Completion of some college coursework is preferred.

• Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
• Must be able to both sit for long periods of time at a desk and be actively mobile to walk all outdoor facilities.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in this position.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, as needed.
• Must be literate and articulate in written form in order to prepare correspondence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Must be able to work on a computer and enter information into spreadsheets and prepare correspondence both textually and graphically.
• Must be available after hours, including weekends as needed.
