Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for patients, including documenting vital signs and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients.
  • Manage dental equipment and instruments, including sterilization processes.
  • Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient information and billing processes.
  • Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, and other procedures as required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in dental terminology and medical coding is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Experience in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical records management.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
