What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Personal Trainer (Career Role, W-2)” position at Fitness Evolution?
Fitness Evolution | In-Person | W-2
Pay: $23–$28/hour
Schedule: 36–38 hours/week (weekday evenings weekend mornings)
Fitness Evolution is hiring a full-time personal trainer to join our coaching team.
This is a W-2, in-person role designed for a coach who wants long-term stability, professional growth, and a supportive team environment — not a space to run an independent business.
Our goal is simple:
This is the last gym our clients ever join — and the last place you’ll ever need to work.
This position is a great fit if you:
- Are empathetic, energetic, and people-focused
- Take pride in communication and customer service
- Enjoy working within systems and a team
- Want to grow as a coach with mentorship and support
- Are looking for a full-time career role in fitness
This role is not a fit if you are:
- Running your own training business
- Seeking a part-time or supplemental role
- Looking to bring your own clients
We’ve intentionally removed many of the common stressors in personal training roles:
- No unpaid hours writing programs
- No 12-hour split days
- No pressure to find or sell clients
- No aggressive sales or external marketing
- No risk of losing access to your training facility
Your focus is on coaching and client experience.
Our focus is on structure, systems, and stability.
Coaching
- Lead small-group training sessions
- Coach proper form, technique, and movement quality
- Support clients through challenges and celebrate progress
Programming
- Execute our established programming model
- Progress, regress, and modify exercises as needed
Accountability & Retention
- Build strong relationships with clients
- Follow proven accountability and retention protocols
- Deliver consistent, high-quality client experiences
Internal Marketing
- Participate in internal initiatives as directed
- No external marketing or sales required
Preferred (but not required):
- Personal training certification, relevant degree, and 1 year experience
What matters most:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and phone communication
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- High energy and willingness to learn
- Desire to positively impact clients’ lives
If you’re passionate about fitness and helping others — and open to learning or certification — we provide training and ongoing development.
Physical requirement: Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
- $23–$28/hour (based on experience)
- Full-time W-2 position (36–38 hours/week)

We take our culture seriously.
We protect our clients — and we support our coaches.
If you’re looking for a long-term role, a team environment, and a personal training position where you can focus on being a great coach without burnout, we’d love to connect.
