Job Summary
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of key manufacturing projects. This position serves as a critical link between external customers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Customer & Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Scope Management: Monitor and manage changes in project scope, ensuring that all modifications are clearly documented and formally approved by the appropriate stakeholders.
- Risk & Cost Optimization: Identify and implement strategies that reduce project risk and cost without compromising quality standards.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and quality metrics with transparency and accuracy.
- Meeting Facilitation: Lead internal and customer-facing project meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Resource Planning: Anticipate future resource needs and coordinate team assignments to meet project timelines.
- Project Documentation: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; align all stakeholders around shared goals.
- Process Development: Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing, assembly, and quality processes.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify technical, schedule, and budget risks, and develop actionable mitigation strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Support investigations related to quality issues and ensure timely customer communication and resolution.
- Compliance Oversight: Maintain knowledge and awareness of various ISO and regulatory standards.
- Organization & Initiative: Demonstrate a high degree of organization, initiative, and a solution-oriented mindset in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering.
- Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks, DraftSight) preferred.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team environments.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Other: Hands-on experience with hand tool assembly is desirable.
