What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Spotter CDL A position at Five Star Sheets?
FS Transportation is looking for a skilled yard spotter with current opening on 3rd shift from 11pm - 7am. A CDL A license with a minimum of 18 months previous tractor / trailer experience is required. Spotters are responsible for backing trailers into loading docks safely, ensuring proper locks are secured into place. Spotters hook and unhook trailers from the tractor, pushing, pulling and cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi-trailers. Spotters also complete trailer inspection paperwork to check for defects and confirm safe operating conditions before each trip. FS Transportation runs a fleet of 20 tractors and170 trailers, with 70-80 trailers shipped daily, 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
