POSITION: Accounts Receivable Specialist
REPORTS TO: Corporate Accounting Manager
Position Summary:
Responsible for daily cash receipt application, customer deduction identification, escalation & resolution, and customer account reconciliation. Requires data entry in the SAP accounting system. Partners with stakeholders (other internal functional teams, customers, etc.) to resolve discrepancies.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Apply daily customer payments, research discrepancies, resolve unapplied cash.
- Identify & research customer deductions and escalate as necessary to resolve.
- Perform collection activities as needed.
- Conduct account research & analysis.
- Communicate with customers and/or internal teams to resolve outstanding issues.
- Send customer statements as requested.
- Generate reports as necessary.
- Assist in financial analysis, as requested.
- Organize and maintain electronic files & communication.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years Accounting and/or Finance related experience.
- Accounts Receivable and Collections experience preferred.
- Accounting software experience required (SAP or similar ERP system software preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skill
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, utilize time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to learn new concepts, processes, and take on new responsibilities as they arise

FLSA Designation: This position is an Hourly Non-Exempt role and is eligible for overtime.
