A Retail Banker provides excellent customer service, assessing customer needs and recommending the most appropriate products and services to fulfill those needs. Using deep product and process knowledge and strong communication skills, the Retail Banker delivers clear information to customers and provides friendly and efficient service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides friendly, professional and efficient service to customers by processing transactions and requests, opening deposit accounts, analyzing customer needs, explaining products and services available, making recommendations, helping customers resolve account issues, concerns, and questions, and following up with customers in a timely manner.
- Maintains excellent knowledge of the bank’s products and services and explains and demonstrates product and service features and usage as applicable.
- Refers customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships.
- Meets or exceed the established goals by using appropriate sales and service processes in all interactions.
- Embraces and gives full effort towards training and marketing initiatives.
- Works with the rest of the Retail Team, as well as with other departments, using good communication and a positive attitude to maintain a team atmosphere.
- Maintains a balanced drawer and manages the vault area to ensure that controls and operational security procedures are being followed. Follows all security protocol to ensure the safety of staff and security of the bank’s assets.
- Attends all meetings and conference calls as prescribed, completes required courses when due, and takes ownership of their own learning experience.
- Follows all policies and procedures, including maintaining customer confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Banking experience or experience in retail sales and cash handling preferred.
Hours
This position is full-time, Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 p.m., Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, every other Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
