Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Debug Technician located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Reporting to the Associate Production Supervisor, the Debug Technician’s role involves responsibility for repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical assemblies within our manufacturing operation.
Schedule: 02:30PM - 11:00PM, Monday through Friday
What a typical day looks like:
- Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
- Operates electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conducts special tests as required.
- Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
- Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
- Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams.
- Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents.
- Helps monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates.
- Assists with the installation, debug and validation of process equipment.
- Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA.
- Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technician.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires an Associate’s degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires 6-12 months of related experience.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
- Can perform analyses/work using some independent judgment.
- Decisions affect tasks and products.
