Industrial Maintenance Technician (I, II, III) 

We are seeking self-motivated Maintenance Technicians of all levels to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working both independently and with the Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager to fulfill the day-to-day operational duties necessary to ensure a clean, safe, and productive manufacturing environment. 

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, cGMP, and company policies.

The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, willing to work overtime, and demonstrate a willingness to learn. As a key support member of a rapidly growing company, the Maintenance Technician must be flexible in their approach to work and be comfortable with taking on new challenges.

Core Competencies

• 3 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting; preferably in Plastic/Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Special knowledge in the use of hand/power tools
• Ability to learn and perform within company policies and guidelines.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks to completion with minimal supervision. 
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Preferred Competencies

• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and work orders.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC Programmers and sensors.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting/repair of electrical controls.
• Working Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.

• A. M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
• B. M-F 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• C. M-F 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

Job Description: 

Industrial Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Plant Engineer and is responsible for installation, repairs, and maintaining plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, cGMP, and company written work instructions.

The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, willing to work overtime, and demonstrate a willingness to learn.  As a key support member of a rapidly growing company, the maintenance mechanic must be flexible in their approach to work and be comfortable with taking on new challenges.

The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining their work areas within the plant in a neat, orderly, and clean condition and is required to observe all safety rules and regulations while following established company rules, policies and maintaining quality standards. 

Education/experience requirements minimum completion of technical degree/training program or equivalent 2 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting; preferably in Plastic/Pharmaceutical manufacturing.

This position has openings on all three shifts:

A.  M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

B.  M-F 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

C.  M-F 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

Responsibilities and duties:

• Efficient and independent in all aspects of maintenance and repair of the facilities; including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc. 
• Efficient and independent in carpentry repair, construction, installation of building equipment, fixtures, and other capital improvement projects.
• Assist in performing machine moves, hook-ups, and placements as requested.
• Maintain major facility systems and infrastructure; including computerized building control and monitoring systems, power and lighting systems, compressed gasses and vacuum, air supply and ventilation, DI water systems, sanitary facilities, and plumbing. 
• Strong electrical and hydraulic skills required. (Strong Electrical skills in troubleshooting 3 phases up to 480 volts. Strong hydraulics troubleshooting for systems up to 3000ps)
• PLC skills a plus.
• Must work safely and be familiar with industrial OSHA regulations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance is required.
• Able to use machine shop equipment and hand tools to fabricate parts as needed, welding a plus.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift, lift 50lbs regularly and up to 70lbs., occasionally.
• Ability to work as a team member with the engineering and production staff.
