Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Survey CAD Technician, located in Swartz Creek, MI. The applicant will work in conjunction with a Professional Land Surveyor to perform a wide variety of survey-related tasks in an office setting. This position requires an experienced surveying or engineering CAD technician who can draft detailed survey drawings, topographical maps, and related drawings and specifications used in surveying projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Design: Creating survey plats, boundary surveys, topographic maps, and construction staking plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.
- Data Processing: Processing field data from total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners.
- Project Coordination: Collaborating with surveyors, engineers, and other team members to ensure project accuracy and timely completion.
- Quality Control: Ensuring the accuracy and quality of drawings and models, identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Research: Searching legal and survey records, land titles, and historical survey data.
- Earthwork Calculations: Performing calculations for earthwork volumes and other related tasks.
Qualifications
- CAD Software Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software.
