Flocktown Farm is an organic fruit and vegetable farm located in Pittstown, NJ -- an hour form NYC and Philadelphia. We grow exclusively for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and plant 100 acres of our 300 acre farm. As a membership based organization, providing long-term, high quality customer service is our top priority. The Member Coordinator is the primary point of contact for our CSA program members, many of whom return year-after-year. This position's primary responsibilities include answering our office phone and responding to customer inquiries and requests by phone and email. The Member Manager is also responsible for managing certain aspects of our online member gateway and credit card processing system. These tasks include making updates to a member's online account, assisting members navigate their online accounts, and issuing refunds. Top candidates will also have an interest in taking on some aspects of office management, social media accounts, and our weekly newsletter.
Qualifications: Candidates should have at least 2 years in customer service. All applicants must possess very strong written and verbal communication skills as well as technical proficiency with computers and common applications like excel/numbers and gmail. (Please note: all office computers use Apple operating systems and applications). Top applicants will have a calm, kind, and respectful demeanor with customers, proficiency in basic math, and a good memory for detail. Successful applicants will bring energy and enthusiasm for our sustainable practices and products as well as an ambitious and creative approach. Knowledge and interest in food and/or sustainable agriculture is a big plus as is a willingness to jump in with the farm crew on occasion!
This is not a remote position.
Compensation: $20.00 and up DOE. Free produce, bread, and eggs. Employee Discount on other grocery items.
