What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Maintenance Technician position at FLORIDA CANYON MINING INC?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mobile Maintenance Technician is responsible for fuel and lubrication of all mobile equipment within a surface mining operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform pre and post operation inspections on mining equipment and service vehicles.
- Prepare equipment for routine preventative maintenance (clean, stage, inspect).
- Efficiently fuel and lubricate mobile equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs, as directed.
- Maintain work area and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with mining equipment (surface), preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics, required.
- Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor in all weather conditions, required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds required
- Ability to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, required.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP), required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the position, required.
