Job SummaryThe Audio Technician supports the audiology and ENT team by assisting with hearing evaluations, maintaining audiology equipment, preparing patients for testing, and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. This role is essential to delivering high-quality hearing care and patient service in a fast-paced ENT clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist audiologists and ENT providers during hearing evaluations and diagnostic testingPrepare patients for audiologic procedures, explaining tests and addressing basic questionsPerform preliminary hearing screenings and non-diagnostic audiologic tests as directedClean, calibrate, and maintain audiology equipment and testing roomsManage hearing aid inventory, supplies, and accessoriesAssist with hearing aid fittings, repairs, troubleshooting, and patient education (as permitted by state regulations)Document test results and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)Schedule audiology appointments and coordinate follow-up visits when neededEnsure compliance with clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standardsProvide excellent customer service and support a positive patient experienceQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Associate degree or coursework in audiology, health sciences, or related field (preferred)Previous experience in an ENT, audiology, or healthcare setting (preferred)Knowledge of hearing tests, audiology equipment, and hearing aid technology is a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a clinical environmentBasic computer skills and experience with EMR systemsSkills & CompetenciesPatient-centered care and professionalismTechnical aptitude with medical and audiology equipmentOrganizational and time-management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with audiologists, physicians, and clinic staffComfort working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients#IDsofla
