Job Summary
In our scratch kitchen, the Dishwasher is a key player in ensuring we are serving the best quality food to our guests. Our dishwashers are responsible for the daily sanitation of kitchen and restaurant equipment and facilities. Duties include cleaning, stocking, and preparing according to Vines recipes and standards, ensuring cleanliness, proper safety procedures, and organizing kitchen, walk-in coolers and storage areas. Teamwork is essential and is what we’re all about at Vines!
General Accountabilities
- Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans by hand or using dishwashers.
- Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils.
- Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
- Sorts and removes trash and places it in designated pickup areas.
- Cleans garbage cans.
- Sweeps or scrubs floors.
- Assists in putting deliveries away in the proper storage areas in an organized manner.
- Assists with the preparation of food and recipes according to Vines specifications.

Job Qualifications
- Must represent Vines Mission, Vision and Values
- Must be at least 18 years old
- A minimum of 1-year experience in upscale dining or an equivalent service environment required
- A passion for cleanliness and sanitation
- Hard-working and a team player
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays
Skills
- Active listening
- Basic knowledge of professional kitchens and experience in sanitation procedures
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly with managers and team members
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
