Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Chemistry located in Lakeland, FL. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and laboratories in the areas of biochemistry and general chemistry. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Candidates with backgrounds in biochemistry, bio-organic, chemical biology, or biomedical engineering are preferred.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry but Biochemistry, Bio-organic, Chemical Biology, or Biomedical Engineering are preferred
- The area of research specialization is open, although the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to mentoring undergraduate research.
- The successful candidate will be expected to advise students in the department as well as work collaboratively with colleagues in service to the department and the college.
- Commitment to student mentorship and departmental service
- Chemistry or a related field is required
