Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Parsippany, NJ, for a Plastics Extrusion Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for carrying out tasks such as overseeing extrusion processes for fluoropolymer tubing and profiles, developing innovative polymer-based solutions, supporting research and development projects, and optimizing production techniques. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve existing product designs and ensuring the highest quality manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and proven experience in Extrusion and Plastics Engineering
- Understanding of Polymers and related material properties
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and applying innovative solutions to production challenges
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially within the fluoropolymer field, is an advantage
